This graph is based on flow data from esb.ie and interpreted to be more readable for kayakers. Each data point represents an average daily flow.
The Parteen flow is representative of the flow at Curragower (minus the contributions of the Mulkear and smaller tributaries)
The Shannon splits at Parteen with most of the flow being diverted to Ardnacrusha instead of going down the river via Castleconnell.
The Castleconnell flow is normally limited to 10cumecs unless the Ardnacrusha capacity is exceeded at around 400cumecs
